Trail Description:
It's about the best trail in Port Alberni and everyone who has ridden it will agree. There are loads of log rides, ladders, some hardcore drops, 1 teeter totter (14ft in air) and some steep terrain downhill.
How to get there:
Coming from out of town, instead of taking the left to go up to mt arrowsmith, you take the right that leads to loon lake and you follow the road(left after traintracks)then keep on the right and you take the second left and follow that road and you will be at hardbones.
Additional Notes:
be sure to wear safty gear 'cause some hights (falls) can be pretty nasty.

directions to trail head should be as follows.
-turn onto road opposite mt arrosmith road at top of hump(other side of road)
-should have 4x4 or quality front wheel drive to drive to trail head (otherwise park at hwy and ride in it is not that far, some uphill)
-turn left after train tracks
-take second left spur(goes downhill)
-take last left road to trailhead(at the end of the raod)
-if you are on quad track you are going the wrong way(go back and find the trailhead)
-part way down cross train tracks go right 25 to 50 feet, trail goes left downhill lots of crap on this section
-further downhill trail comes to hwy turn right into forest trail goes left atfter a short ride through ferns
-further downhill trail comes to hwy turn right ride up hill ( the further up the hill you go the less hwy you ride
-note some boardwalk not finished use caution
