THE TRAIL HAS BEEN MURDERED! IT IS NOW DEAD... It's sad that an ego maniac built all those stupid bridges and attracted a bunch of yahoos which got us our trail closed down. Supposedly the landowner spent $15,000.00 taking down all the silly stunts. (shame he knew nothing about flow) I hear the landowner is working on opening trails. Yeah right.. Mr. stupid platform switchback and those c-bad a-holes have made sure there will be no flightline ever again.

According to this, it sounds like an issue of liability: http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2006/11/05/news/coastal/21_29_5811_4_06.txt Do your part to help save Flightline: http://www.rideflightline.com

Yea, It is real important that we don't ride our bikes on the established trails when everything around them, including the trails, will eventually be bulldozed and turned into blacktop parking lots and commercial buildings. Go Figure?

I agree with deek. Why is everybody trying to make it illegal to use the land for mountian bikers

Please pay attention to the comments by the land manager - this is habitat preserve set aside as mitigation for the development. This is NOT Public land, and for a biologist charged with managing the land, anyone "taking" habitat by cutting sensitive habitat that protects endangered species and building trails is committing the same crime as a landowner going into habitat preserve and bulldozing without a permit. It is a crime, period. Listen - its not too late to save some of the trails, but to get what you want, you will have to get positively engaged, abide by the rules, and be willing to make a compromise.

To "The Center of Natural La", We're all glad to hear your feeling proud about yourself... we'll see how it works out for you and Mayor ("Pave the Town") Lewis.

These trails on this property are illegal. None of this property is public property. It is privately owned and also owned by the County of San Diego. People that use these trials are trespassing. This area will be closed in the very near future and will not be open to the public. This trail system should be removed from this website as it is illegal to use it. My company owns the private lands and has conservation easements (which means we take care of the land for the County)over the County lands.

Anyone who has ridden this knows that a third of the former area is gone due to development. Well, we're about to lose another third at least; i.e. half of what's left. Today (sat 9-09-06)I saw that a bulldozer had been through decimating trails and laying survey markers in the eastern half of the area. Someone had pulled a few; share your sentiment but can't really endorse your method...it's ultimately futile and serves alienates us and marginalize our voice (not that we get listened to much anyway). So if you know it and love it, then get some before the east half disappears.

You can go left or right at the beginning and it is easier if you go to the right than the left. There are tons of trails out there even one has a tetter totter and there is a few DH spots. BE CAREFUL!!!!!! Seen two rattlesnakes

I went down to this trail last week, I rode down the left trail and down the hillside, it's more technical than I thought, alot of U turns and thin ladders, hard to ride with any decent amount of speed. I didn't even make it to the jump section, once I got towards the bottom I slammed my front wheel and bent My rim so I had to leave. I'm using My spare wheel now and when I get a new wheel I will go back and try the jumps out.
