Trail Description:
This is a long mult-use singls track trail that follows a creek. It is fairly easy as it is mostly down hill from the Purgatory area back to Hermosa.

How to get there:
Turn off of the Million Dollar highway at Purgatory Ski area and go through the ski area. The dirt road through the ski area crosses over a ridge and follows a beautiful valley down hill. A few miles down the valley you will see the sign for the trail head to your left where the valley stream connects to Hermosa creek.

One of the classic Colorado single track trails. We would park a car in Hermosa (for a shuttle) and drive up to Durango Mtn. Resort. You will then ride down the jeep trail to the singletrack trail head. There are a lot of fun down hill sections, some nice climbs, and some stream crossings. If you are smart enough to use the shuttle car in Hermosa it's a great trail.

Long jeep road that is up hill both ways. watch out for the Crazy hippy who lives along the trail it will ask for an energy bar then try to steal your bike.
