The descent is littered with sharp rocks. Hang on and stay in control. Going down here is nasty! Surrounding scenery includes aspen and conifers mixed with sagebrush gatherings.

How to get there:
Trail starts 24 miles north of Vernal, on Hwy 191. Park in the same location as Range Study Loop. Route begins across the highway, to the west. Look for the trails head sign. . Follow signs. Road is fairly decent on the ascend except for a short rocky stretch about a mile and a half up. Trail tops out on Grizzly Ridge about 2.5 miles from beginning, with views to the south from this vantage. From here descent and technical. Stay in control. The rocks are pointy and sharp.
