Trail Description:
The Thompson Trail is a great trail for those interested in Mountain Biking. The trail is close to 4 miles long and growing with the help of a very active maintenance crew. There are group rides every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6pm, but a few show up around 5:30pm.

The trail is mostly single track winding through the woods, but there is a small section of double track that you only see for a few minutes. You can expect some fast downhills and some good climbs that will try your granny gear, especially if you're new to riding.

How to get there:
From Warner Robins: From watson blvd, take US 41 north to Avondale Mill Road, turn left onto Industrial blvd and you'll see Thompson Manufactering on the right. Park in the South parking lot and the trail head will be inside the fence on the right.

From Macon: Use Pio Nono exit from I-75, turn right (south) at US41 and follow US41 to Avondale Mill Road.

Additional Notes:
The trail might not be the longest in the area, but it sure is fun...
