Trail Description:
The most awesome trail. Definately worth the drive. A long climb at first up a dirt road. Be careful on the beginning of the downhill - it gets a bit rocky and friends have been known to spill blood if going for too much air. The singletrack after this is smooth and sweet through the trees.
How to get there:
Take I-10 to Benson and go south on Highway 90, stay on that and it'll turn into Highway 92, take that south until you get semi close to the mountains (the Huachuacas) and take Ramson Canyon Road west (be careful you don't miss it). Take the first dirt road on the right, it'll be a little parking lot and you'll see the end of the trail. Ride up Ramsey canyon road (the pavement) until you get to the brown canyon sign on the right and a cattle guard. Stay to the left up the dirt roads. Once on the single track Stay to the right. Props to those who make it all the way up the single track towards the end. Enjoy the view!

Something for everyone my posterior. Great downhill, and singletrack in some areas... after you've climbed billy goat paths, Not too technical, but roaky enough to take the fun/speed out of it. Good for speed fearing riders (until the end)You guys need to re-label that one. If you are all about your skills at 5 mph or less 70% of the time. Then be my guest. All the local riders call it XC... Morons! need to ride real some real XC. XC means smooth and fast riding. with decent climbs. What is fun about climbing billy goat paths at walking/jogging speeds? Dont' get me wrong its a decent trail, just not one for someone looking for XC... This is an All mountain loop up to the end descent. There is plenty of fast single track XC riding around... just look for it.

This is the best trail in southern AZ, without doubt. It is a completely different ride depending on which direction you take it. One part fire road (I like to ride up that part) and the other part sweet singletrack (riding down is a must). There are also trails that come out of it for a lot of variation. Watch out for other riders and hikers.

We hit the trail and it was a little more hardcore than "something for everyone". There are two areas on the trail that split left or right so Im not sure if we went the right way, but if you take the left path both times you will climb from 5000 feet to 5600 feet through some extremely rocky areas. It will take you to Ramsey Canyon and when you hit the last down hill it is about 1 1/2 miles to the bottom with various jumps. Trail ends into Ramsey Canyon Road and you take it back to the parking lot. Overall, not for a morning stroll.

This is a nice ride, and great for the summer months. The trail starts with a tough up-hill but quickly rewords you with a killer down hill that seam to last forever. The down hill starts down a dirt rocky road (use caution, lots of good air) but soon turns into a killer single track through the trees with a nice creek crossing and some tall grassy areas that reach past your handle bars. The ride end with a short hill climb and your back to the parking lot with nothing but smiles, and the thought of going around the 5 mile loop one more time.
