Trail Description:
Fairly smooth ride with occasional fun on blacktop, dirt road, single trails, and even through a tunnel under Rinaldi. Some nice steep sections, too. The full route takes you from the bottom of this trail, goes 3 miles to the top, then turns around and and comes back down for a good downhill leg. Should take about an hour if you're good, 1.5 hours if you're me.

How to get there:
Start near the maintenance yard just north of Devonshire and Tunney and follow the Mission Trail all the way up Limekiln Canyon to Sesnon.

Additional Notes:
The tunnel under Rinaldi is passable almost all year. The rocks and pools shift after a rain.

Parked my car at the dead end of Tampa. followed a overgrown raod up a hill next to sensom rd. i went up to a old overgrown paved road that dropped off to cement re veins that were a lot of fun to ride. then behind the housing tract the trail started. had a long fast downhill that led back down to sensom rd. then went on a long uphill on a utility road that led to a water tank the trail had some ups and downs that were easy till i dropped off into a canyon that was rutted out and was fairly steep. that part was dope! at the bottom there was a lot of poison oak and the single track led to a water crossing that ended on a paved raod and took me down to Desoto and the 118.

super easy trail but if you take it north over sesnon there's some singletrack that leads you behind the gated community on your left. Take that up just behind the houses and there's a right (over a gate) and onto a fire road. climb this a ways and take the first singletrack on your left which should quickly take you down to a creek then right back up. head down this path into the grassy valley and head into the trees. There's a singletrack just at the trees and that'll take you eventually to desoto north of the 118. fun but that part isn't for the novice rider

Add another 2.5 miles to the ride by starting at Devonshire one block west of Tampa. There's a singletrack on the west side of the service road once you hit Chatsworth.

Great ride for the novice rider. Park on Rinaldi St. just west of of Tampa. the trail from this point is a little less than 2 miles and is a great steady climb, perfect for the beginning rider. Trail is also perfect for kids who like to mountain bike. The majority of the ride up towards Sesnon is up hill, but it also has exciting down hills on your ascent. Once at the top, at Sesnon, you will be rewarded with a down hill ride all the back to the Rinaldi side. One word of caution, on the decent once going under the bridge, be careful of the dirt mound that covers a large pipe. If taken on the left side, and the speed that is gained coming down, it can make you get lots of air between you and the ground. Otherwise, have fun.
