Trail Description:
This is a hilly cross country area for the most part. A whole variety of routes are available, with the majority of the riding being singletrack. It's pretty easy to put together routes of 15-20 miles with a very little overlap. Some climbing is involved for every route, and there's very little shade, so come when it's cool, and bring water.
How to get there:
Take CA 60 to Central Ave exit, turn south/west onto Central Ave and go downhill. About a half a mile, just after Lochmoor on the left is a dirt parking area, and one of the trailheads.

Our group rides this area frequently. Join us for a ride: www.teamdirtywork.com

Great little area to ride but to make it a better ride also go to two trees and join the Jensonusa group for a guided ride.

I envy you folks that can still ride. bad knees keep me on the ground, but I still am able to hike in this great ,last piece of wilderness in the area. Luckily I live near by, and hit the trail for literally hours on end. I see the hawks, the coyotes, and even the limited water-life, and of course I'm careful of the rattle snakes! Sadly I also see the trash that other hikers or bikers dump. I've carted off bags of trash, and a lot of them have old dicarded inner tubes, and bike parts...simply put..if you bring it in; take it out. Enjoy the Park, before the developers take it over.

I Hiked the trail for the first time last weekend and I was amazed over the breathtaking views and beautiful green terrain. I was also amazed over crossing the paths of two coyotes.

sycamore canyon boasts a huge variety of routes for xc mtb riding. downhillers will not have much to do here, but there are a couple of freeride sections, including some manmade drops and a teeter-totter, in the southeast corner of the park. rides of 15-20 miles can be put together with very little overlap, and there is an abundance of fun singletrack.

This park has many trails for many different types of riding. If you start from Allesandro & Sycamore head west to find some technical jumps, drops, and ladders. If you head north you're in for a good 1-2hr ride with many trail options to choose from. If you park at Central & Lochmoore it is possible to make a good loop with plenty of hills to climb.
