Ride Summary:
A long ride but not too technical. It is rated as a sport/skilled ride because of its length.

Trail Description:
Over 60% of the ride is on gravel or dirt roads/trails. Climbing is minimal with one short steep downhill section a few miles past the Trout Creek Guard Station. Traffic is light but be aware of the logging trucks and other vehicles. Trail has been marked with bike route signs by the Forest Service.

Head Northwest on the pavement for almost ten miles to the turn-off to East Park Campground. The pavement changes to Gravel here. it is 12 miles to the Trout Creek Guard Station. The terrain rolls up and down and crosses several drainages from the High Uintahhhs. Much of the landscape in this area has been logged. The road junctions at the Guard Station are confusing. Just follow the bike route signs and turn left, heading back toward Hwy 191 and Vernal. Trout Creek is super for fishing and in the summer months you'll be riding through meadows of wildflowers and meadows. The trail drops down and crosses Big Brush Creek. From here it is approximately 4 miles back from the highway your car.

How to get there:
Trail starts 18 miles north of Vernal, at the junction with the Red Cloud Loop and Forest Service Road #018. Turn left and park at the junction.
