If you like mud, roots and some rocky technical sections this may be worth your while. The trails connect to the other trails in Anacortes such as little Cranberry lake and have a great mix of everything. I always let my PSI in my rear tire down to 15-20 when it is wet, those wet roots and rocks can be nasty in the cold..... You will need a map of the trails from the city information office in town($10.00).... but well worth it. Heart lake tends to stay more soggy and muddy into the warm months compared to Cranberry lake. Hope this helps- get out there and enjoy!
