There is a very steep paved trail that leads to the scenic viewing area if you go to the right at the top (just follow the paved path). The bike trail pretty much starts at the top of the paved hill ( when the paved path turns right go left on to the dirt trail)

How to get there:
Hwy 40 to hwy 94 south. follow 94 s. to defiance go past the little town and a few "s" curves and the main enterance will be on the left. you will pass a small boat dock enterance at the beging of an "s" curve just before the enterance.

Great trail. Trail to your Left of the conference center is almost all down hill after first 2 ascents. Lots of great downhill singletrack. The trail to the right of the conference center is much more technical with lots of boulders and rocks. But is also has the skills course which is pretty basic, but fun. You can't find skills courses anywhere near st. louis so be happy.

This trail is ride or die. SERIOUSLY, if you lean the wrong way you will fall off of the hill and it could lead to a fatality. I loved it...such a rush. Very fast pace. Basically a snake trail going down the bluff. Highly recommend riding this.

Super fun for the more skilled riders. Klondike has several short loops that can all be combined to make for a tough ride. For more information and a detailed map go to: http://www.gorctrails.com/trails/mklondike.asp

When I first went to Klondike it took a bit to find the trails, the one atop the steep asphault hill is easy to find and some pretty good singletrack. The other trails (Donjo's Trail, Donkey Kong, and Strip Mine) along with some fire road esque gravel getting to it. Harder to find but when you do it's pretty good. Donkey Kong is a rocky pretty much flat circle, not much to say, good for technicality, Strip Mine is a fun short section of downhill, that leads to a winding short trail up a hill which culminates in a i'd say 3 foot drop into sand then a little more and theres a rock face to ride down with a short rythm section afterwards. Donjo's starts at the same place you start for Donkey Kong and goes down the hill along the bluff and is some pretty good singletrack. Ends back where you started to go to all these trails. Good park, good amenities, and could ride all day and camp at night

My friend and I just went to Klondike it was our first real time going moutiain biking, and now were hooked, the trails are fun but were tough cus it was wet, also they were hard to see at times because of all the leaves on the ground. Also it taught he and I how to do some technical stuff. -Tanner

This place has some really neat trails I was out their yesterday and it was nice. New trails, technical and back and forth. It is very fun. I didnt ride on the main trail though. It is hard to find out where the trails are. They need better maps. But this place has potential. Nice scenery overlooking the Missouri river. The katy trail is also very near by.
