Trail Description:
Awesome trail in West Edmonton, It is forest trail (dirt, rock, leaves) and is a technical ride, similar to trails in B.C. Its a great quick ride for anyone whos out for a while!

How to get there:
In west Edmonton, go to Westridge (near Callingwood) then from there go to Wakina Dr. There will be a paved trail in the forest which will take you down a hill onto a wooden bridge, then up a paved hill and from the top of that hill take a sidewalk to another trail that is very visible. It is a fast paved hill from there to the bottom (you can reach speeds of 60+ km/h on this hill!) Then spot a small dirt path on the left of the paved trail, take this trail and hold on!

Additional Notes:
This trail Owns!

Looking at a map of westridge, you'll notice ravines on either side of the community, both are full of awesome, technical trails. There's a sandy, dusty (in summer) descent from the back of the Jewish community center in Rio Terrace which goes all the way to a sweet badlands-looking chute at the river. There's several challenging drops and chutes off the side of this trail. From the river, you can cross the small creek feeding into it on foot and take the singletrack on the other side of the creek up to the back of some fancy houses at the top of the ravine opposite the hebrew club. From there its all rooty rollercoaster goodness, even a shore bridge in there before the final descent back to a paved trail. Take the paved trail about halfway up the hill to westridge community center, take the right turn/drop onto another sweet singletrack that'll bring you all the way to the pedestrian bridge east of 178 st & whitemud! P.S. don't cut the logs, learn to jump, or pil

pile dirt/sticks around the logs to smooth them into jumps. If you have to dismount for fallen logs, get a cervelo & wear spandex.

This trail had good rugged terrain and single track, but i just felt it was too short. It also had a lot of logs in the middle of the track, causing uneven and disrupted flow.

I think I found a better way to this trail. Go south on 159st just south of whitemud, there is a path into the valley on your right. take that path down the hill and then on your left is a dirt path...then hold on and watch out for fallen trees

I couldn't find this trail. I went down by some park and found a wooden bridge in a forrest. Than a dirt trail that seemed to go down pretty steep but at the bottom there was just logs n stuff, no real trail to go on from there. Also Went up and down Wakina Dr. Could not find it.
