Stoner Trail

Trail Description:
A river view trail along the Red River in Shreveport, La. This trail offers the rider technical training in tight, weaving through native plant and wildlife.

How to get there:
Coming south from I-20 on Hwy 1, turn left onto Stoner Ave. Stoner Ave dead-ends at the entrance to the boat launch. The trail head is at south end of parking lot.

Additional Notes:
Look for yellow, red and green markers to stay the course. For a special treat ride at night :)

Very flat single track with multiple trails that parallels the river with intersecting loops. There are several entry points from the parking area (7). The trail is well maintained however, there is no direction for flow so watch for oncoming traffic. Good mix for speed and technical turns. The trail that immediately parallels the river has several sandy areas and is gettting worse. Much of the trail is under water in the spring when the river is high. Watch out for the occasional joggers, dog walkers and the novice rider who doesn't look ahead.
