Trail Description:
A nice selection of trails that intertwine up and down a section of the escarpment. The trails were cleared and maintained by the local Bloomfield Bicycle Club. The trails abound with nasty narrow traverses and plunging descents. This is one area that the technical wizards out there will love. Not recommended for beginners.

How to get there:
From Hwy 401 go south on Hwy 62 to Bloomfield then east on Hwy 33 into Picton. At the east end of town turn right on Union St. and go 1 km. Park entrance is on the right.

Great trails! If you have not been to the mountain before, make sure you head to the Bloomfield Cycle shop & talk to the super-friendly folks there - they will give you a map and explain the best routes.

trails have minimal signage and some have small not real obvious beginnings(to prevent local 4 wheelers from discovering and destroying the trails) so it is possible to miss some of the better trails and ride around on the doubletrack trails, sorry about that bill, come out on a saturday club ride in 2005 to experience the technical side of macaulay. if you do get lost at macaulay head downhill to the parking lot.

Great course!! not so great when wet as the many tree routes become very slippery. Well mantained trails that are easy to follow and in some areas are buttery smooth. I had an very fun time riding them, and will be back often.
