Trail Description:
Great trail - Something for everyone, but be careful of hikers. Awful after it rains - sticky mud & poor drainage will wreak havoc on your bike. First part is flat, 6 miles out & back. After this, feel free to explore. Easy to put together a 4+ hour ride by exploring the park.
How to get there:
From Downtown Pittsburgh, take Parkway West toward the airport. Exit at Cambell's Run Road. Follow the signs to reach the park entrance. Follow signs for Tennis Courts, but DON'T PARK THERE - park next to the large playground and enjoy!

When i started biking, before i had a car, I used to love those trails because it was fun getting muddy and it was always a thrill to go exploring in the trails beyond the park limits, but i went there today for the first time in a few years and it was a total waste. there was poison ivy along much of the trail, several fallen trees blocked the trail (which look like theyve been down for at least a year) with no effort to clear or maintain any of the paths. as far as Im concerned settlers cabin doesnt have any trails anymore... just some dense thicket where good trails used to be.

If you are not finding the right trails you need to keep looking. My friend and I
have ridden there many times for several hours going up and down the mountain and back and forth through the streams. There is some great ridding there.

Could be fast and fun, but I rode it in the rain. Very muddy and greasy, poor drainage...
