Trail Description:
4000ft of mind numbing downhill biking at its best. Steep entrance with lots of buff dug out traverse on upper alpine, middle you will find a the US Steel company Rd. steep single track, rock gardens and the "black lung" coal chute. The bottom section has recently been cleaned and is very fast. You will find a longer deactivated logging road that will eventually have booters and bypasses through or over all the water bars as well as some extras. After the deactivated gap jumps head back into the woods for some more nice fast burn through more woods. The very last section has not been completed, until then use the last dirt road you come to and follow down to River Rd extention, head right and the pick up for the front side of the trail Three kings and El Matador. For a mellower ride you can also head up the front side on the second left hand dirt road after the other shuttle road that leads up a ways to the lower half of the trail. Note above the deactivation is accessed by quad only for the time being. and no it is not 69miles long, however it is long enough trust me.

How to get there:
Shuttle up coal creek to the microwave towers and drop in. Pick up is at the "y" on the bottom of Cokato Rd or at the other "y" on River Rd directly above.

this trail has almost reached its 5th season of existance. the upper alpine traverse lines are nearing completion. the deactivation rd or now known as dirt diggler booter blvd. has numerous ditch gaps and hips then dips back into the woods for a ripper in the newly re-routed section. the 4th annual dirt diggler DH will be held sat sept 12th/09 in fernie. for more info hit up www.bikefernie.com.
