Sportsman Lake Park

Trail Description:
This 5-6 total miles out and back trail is pretty new, just built in the last year. The climbs and descents remind me somewhat of the occoe system trails, but this trail is smooth, with hardly any rock or roots. Switchbacks are everywhere as this is a small park so they used everything they had to create the trails, but on many of the s-backs there is not enough of a bank to keep the rear tire planted at high speed. also the path can be confusing(especially on the way back) as a beginners trail mixes with the intermediate and expert. Overall a good experiece for an hours worth of riding after work.

How to get there:
Take exit 310 off of i65 turn right onto hwy 31, go down the hill and turn right at cadillac dealership and the park is behind the cullman county fairgrounds

Additional Notes:
watch out for slick leaves during the fall and winter.
