Trail Description:
If you don't want to do the dirt, you can ride along Skyline Drive for over 100 miles. However, if you do want real MTB, be sure to take a topo map to Shenandoah. The best way to do is to go explore or to ask a park ranger for trails.
How to get there:
From Richmond: Take Rt 64 west until you reach the Waynesboro exit. From there, get on the Skyline Drive and head into the park. Talk to a ranger if you want to get some more trail info.

I just got back from riding in the shenandoah for the weekend. I rode right past rangers and hikers not a one said anything to me other than 'I can't believe you rode this trail.'

Let Shenandoah national park know how you feel about biking in parks email "Trish_Kicklighter@nps.gov". They may allow biking on fire roads but they're reviewing it. So let them know how you feel.

We should petition to allow mountain biking in shenandoah, if not all national parks.

Time for Dirt World to do some maintenance of their own. NO RIDING in NATIONAL PARKS - PERIOD. This entry just needs to be removed from the list.

The Park will not allow you to ride on any of the trails. And from what I hear, that stance is not going to change any time soon.
