Trail Description:
You can start from the Greenway Office on Nation Ford Road, cross US 21 Business and begin the upper, or Springfield Loop, or you can start from the LeRoy Springs Recreation Complex and do the lower, or School Trail Loop. It is a technically challenging single track with multiple climbs/descents and creek crossings. From either direction you will pass through a forest of hardwoods on your way toward Steele Creek where a double track trail connecting the two loops features a crossing on a swinging bridge. Both loops have a beauty of their own, but the School Loop which circles Fort Mill Middle School, features two tunnels, and a spur to overlook Sugar Creek.
How to get there:
From Exit 85 on I-77, north of Rock Hill, drive southeast on SC 160 toward Fort Mill. Drive 1.5 miles and turn left (north) onto US 21 Business. Drive 2.5 miles and turn left onto Springfield Lane and continue to the Dairy Barn entrance and fee station. Access the trail by hiking or biking across US 21 Business

Great ride, study maps carefully if its ur 1st time out, trails can be confusing at first. Be prepared for fairly technical trails with plenty of roots. Also the Sugar loop is arguably more difficult than the school loop with more climbing and skill required.

Great trail. A bit spotty with the trail markings but there is plenty of sights along the creek and bridges and many obstacles including rocks, small stumps, many roots, mud, sharp turns and narrow bridges. Really a must ride on a sat morning.
