Trail Description:
This is a cool trail, a lot of nice ups and flows. Starting at the Fort going south the trail is quick, twisting, and rolling. Once you cross over and head back to the Fort the trails are technical, a lot of mud, sand, leaves, palmetto roots, cypress stumps, trees in the trails... you get the idea. Restrooms, water, beverage machines, are located at the Fort.
How to get there:
From I-95, get off on Exit 129 (new Exit 373), the Fernandina Beach / Callahan exit, and stay to the right. You will then be traveling east on A1A. (This road becomes 8th Street within the town limits of Fernandina.) Stay on this A1A for 16 miles until you come to the intersection of 8th Street and Atlantic Avenue. Turn right on Atlantic Avenue and go about two miles. Fort Clinch State Park will be on the left.
Additional Notes:
Admission to the fort is $5.00

This is a terrific ride in the shade up down and around a single track through the dunes. The direction changes frequently so be aware of the multiple posted signs. If you see a no biking sign you are going the wrong direction.Hint,Hint.You have to ride two laps unless you are pressed for time.Park over at the beach and ride your bike in and only pay a buck!
