How to get there:
From downtown Prescott take Montizuma north until it turns into Ironsprings Rd the you will see a sign that says to Granitt Basin turn right. Follow the road until the end and you will see the trail head.

The directions to this trailhead have changed a bit. They are good until you make the turn onto Granite Mountain Rd. But the road doesn't dead end or turn to dirt. It is paved all the way and becomes a loop in the Granite Mountain Rec. area ($5 fee)with several spurs off to "day use" areas. Each area has a few trailheads. I rode 345 to 351 to 347 jct to make the loop. 345 begins at the "Boat Launch" (near the USFS toilet). This was one of the most varied trails I've ever ridden. It had a little of everything. Rocky technical sections, curvy fun singletrack, "Whoopdies", Dry sandy washes, wet creek crossings. even huge boulders to cruise over. Early May was a great time to ride with many May flowers blooming.
