Trail Description:
3 sections. Northernmost is 20.9 miles. If starting near Jacob Lake it is a 20.9 mile ride to the Utah border and trail head, 2000ft descent. Best as a shuttle.

Middle section is 30 miles from Pines at Jacob Lake to spruce fir and aspen forest to the East Rim View/trail head @ 8400'.

Southern section is from East Rim to the Canyon's Edge. This is some of the coolest weather riding in Arizona but the trail will be empty of anyone.

How to get there:
Highway 89A in northern AZ crosses the trail 2 miles east of Jacob Lake. Highway 22 on the Kaibab Plateau south about 25 miles to the East Rim Trail head, east of 22 by 4 miles. North of pay gate, no need to pay other than to visit main North Rim vistas.

Additional Notes:
Don't try this trail before May, too much snow. Nice dog trail. Rainbow Rim Trail is about 20 mi
