Trail Description:
This is an extremely difficult trail. It is very long and the climbs are highly intense. This ride should take you a good 4-5 hours to complete. Trust me, you will be burned after this one.
How to get there:
From Crested Butte: Go south on Rt 135 for 2 miles and get onto Brush Creek Rd. Drive for 5 miles and park near the intersection with West Brush Creek Rd. Go up West Brush Creek Rd and stay right at the Deer Creek Trail turn-off.

From Gunnison to Brush Creek Rd (where you still have 8 miles to singletrack is 28 miles, the whole loop is doable in 3 hours from the town of Crested Butte. From Gunnison up the trail and back down is IMPOSSIBLE in 3 hours because it would be an 80 mile ride.

who ever said they rode teocali from gunnison in 2.5 hours is playing fast and loose with the truth. gunnison is 35 miles from C.B.

What 4-5 hours? I did this trail in 2.5 hours from Gunnison, but I like to ride fasttt!

What!? 4-5 hours? And not even from town? I rode teocalli ridge in 3 hours from town. Sure it's a tough ride, but it ain't masochistic, it's beautiful and fun. You must be from sea level...
