The Rim Nordic XC course is a beautifully maintained system of interlinked singletracks/doubletracks/fire roads that offers limitless loop possibilities from as little as 4 miles up to 10 miles.

The area features some great tecnical ascents up singletrack switchbacks, as well as some hair raiser, tight down hill. And of course, there's plently of rolling singletrack to drop the hammer on!

If you like a good, challenging course, then check this out! In addition to what's been listed, you'll tackle rock/root drop offs, numerous stream crossings (particularly in season), a fallen log bridge, a some of the prettiest wild flower blooms in the San Bernardino mountains.

How to get there:
From any where in SoCal, take Hwy. 330 to Running Springs. It turns into Hwy. 18 as you head to Big Bear. About 5 miles past Running Springs, your at Snow Valley Ski Resort, which is on the right hand side. Rim Nordic's entrance is on the left hand side of the highway.

This is a great trail. It's all here; lung-busting technical ascents, twisty downhill sections and sweet swooping singletrack through some of the most beautiful scenery in the San Bernardino mountains. This ride is tough and will humble good riders. It is NOT a good place to introduce someone new to the sport.

This is a very good ride for anyone who races or would like to race. In the summer they hold a great race series. It is a fun place to ride and/or train. It is at about 6000 ft. Hard to catch your breath up some of the long technical single track trails. Great place to find out how good you really are. I loved the switch backing technical downhill areas. bring flat repair suplies I've seen alot of people w/flats. So far it has not been a problem for me.

FYI there is no paved road in this section of the forest - only fireroads and singletrack. P.S. the singletrack is great.
