Eric must have special permission from the U.S. Forest Service Huron Shores Ranger Station in Oscoda to bike on the Corsair - Silver Valley - Wright's Lake trails. They all have signs posted at the trailheads that specifically state "Trails Closed to Bicycles". The trails, which were constructed for cross-country skiing, are very sandy and erosion is a serious problem. The USFS allows mountain bikes on the Eagle Run trails, across from the Oscoda High School, on River Road, three miles west of Oscoda. Call the Forest Service office, in Oscoda, for further information (989) 739-0728. The trails at Rifle River Recreation Area, west of Hale, (near Lupton) are the best biking trails in the area.

i live in east tawas and i assure you that the trail is there. in fact if you drove north on 23 then it was on your right before you enter tawas city. the trail begins across from huron sports and ends just before the old gypsum loading station.(the big building about a quarter mile out in lake huron)this trail is for sunday drivers! however if you take 55 west go right at the first stop light(should be monument rd if not then it turns into it)go down about 5 miles or so and you'll find silver valley, wrights lake, and coarseair trail systems. they are cross country ski trails and there is miles of them! a little sandy in spots but not to bad.

There is not trail here. I guess there is a trail system out at the lumberman's' monument, but this is a bit of a hike and the trails are sandy, so it is not much of a ride. You can have fun riding up and down 23 from the statepark through east tawas into tawas city - but it is not a trail by any means. forget the biking here, just go swimming!

It ‘rocks’ when you enjoy a good trail. Say, have you checked out the Trail Advocacy link just on the left listed under the Trail Guides heading? Please remember it’s only as good as the effort that’s put into making it that way and it can disappear tomorrow. Please do your part. Thanks

We also spent a long time trying to find the trail and never did. We are familiar with the area so it wasn't that we didn't know where we were. We were very disappointed.

Myself and two of my friends spent three hours looking for this bike trail!! I advise anybody out there who is thinking of going to this trail not to.
