Trail Description:
Excellent trails, although only 15 miles are listed in park guide book, there are many more hidden about. Some are quite technical, some are moderate.
How to get there:
Colchester is located 5 miles west of Macomb, in the center of the town of Colchester, turn north onto Coal Road and follow two and a half miles to Argyle State Park, trails circle the lake.
Additional Notes:
Every fall, a race takes place at the Park. The race is "Blood Sweat and Gears".

The trails were full of mud and mosquitoes, which are not usually a problem until you get stuck in mud that is impassible due to horse tracks. That's right, you have to share with the horse riders who contaminate every trail that is even slightly damp with their crater creating hooves. Spring Lake nearby is much, much better with different skill levels and a superior tail map

Spring lake is nothing but a concrete slap next to a lake with a few trees around it. Argyle has history, beautiful dress, plenty of room and privacy for picknics.
5 stars!

These trails are not kept up. the Park has not put any interest in them. The volunteer bikers who keep it up have focused most of their attention on spring lake as they should. Spring lake is beautiful. This park is one big mud trap

All of the good stuff is there, you gotta just look. Park trail maps are BS.
