I'm just wondering where exactly these trails begin. It would be nice to have actual directions!

Just moved to Sudbury in August and am looking for people to ride with this spring/summer. I'd say I'm a weekend warrior type--definitely not going to keep up with somebody who's racing, but I do alright. Am in it for the fun. I'm 26 years old, just graduated last spring--was living east of toronto and was riding Durham Forest weekly.

I'll be spending a couple of weeks at Laurentian U this summer and would like to ride Simex. Are the trails well marked? I'll probably be riding alone and don't want to get lost!

I love this trail to death. once you ride it, everything
down south is easy. i'm so glad i live here. for
camping, i'm really not sure where there is
anything. The bus pigs meet on wednesdays at 6,
either at the outside store or LU, and we know all
the good trails. (the old guys stop alot though)

I urge everyone to check out www.laurentiannordic.com and sign the online petition. The city of Sudbury is planning on destroying the simics bike and ski trails and replacing it with a road connecting highway 69 with the university. If this plan goes through, simics and other mountain bike trails around the university will be destroyed forever. Please do not let this happen...we need everyone's help at keeping these trails.
