Trail Description:
Mountain Creek is a ski resort located in vernon N.J. During non ski season they open the hills and trails to bikers. There are miles of single track, fire and secondary access roads, and down hill runs both on the slopes and cut thru the woods. There is also a marked N.O.R.B.A. race course that you can ride on non race days. The trails ive ridden arn't too technical but some of the downhill runs thru the woods i thought i was gonna try were ABSOLUTELY INSANE, i turned around and walked away from them. The down side is that they charge you like $20 for a lift pass to use the gondola to get to the top of the hills where the trailhead is and you cant go in without the pass. It's a pretty good place to ride.
How to get there:
Mountain Creek is on Route 94 in Vernon, New Jersey.
From NYC - Take the George Washington Bridge to Rt. 80 West, to Rt. 23 North, to Rt. 94 North.
From Central New Jersey Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 153b at Rt. 3 West and follow directions for
NYC (above).
From the North (including Connecticut) From Rt. 84, take Rt. 17 East towards NYC and get off at Exit 126, which is the Chester Exit. Then take Rt. 94 South to Vernon, New Jersey.

Of course we know what we want as riders, but try to appeal to diablo too. If we had a slopestyle course, it would probably make that final push to go to diablo instead of plattekill, even if your 1 hour more away.
With a slopestyle course, a lot could be done. You could have local contests, and people attending these events, and whenever you have people attending events, you can almost ALWAYS find a way to generate money.
Yes, a slopestyle course would have bring in more riders for sure, and it would only give a cooler more attractive view to diablo, but I think it would really be sweet to hit a wallride to a 30 foot gap... I get chills just thinking about it.

Hey guys, just a little bored and thought that I would share some pics of my bike.
Specs are almost as when i bought it some years ago. Only changed the boxxer for 888, put on new cranks and a road cassette.
It´s a great bike, so reliable and always ready for a run. We have been through a lot together, so many races, so many rides and training days.
I´ve learned a lot with her. She's tough, but she's really nice, too.
I take good care of her and she does as well for me... can say she has saved my life a couple times.
The only not so great thing was the old military green painting, so i thought i´ll change that into a nice new look.
I know i´ll have to let her go some day... but only for a sunday. jeje
tell me what do you think, thanks

I have a couple of melungeun buddies there who make sure the trail stays private. However, if Centrum sent you, then you get a private heli to drop you off at the top. I just got fired from their Trail Crew cause I was building these trails. Theres a group of us on mtbr check it! However, if you go snowboarding or skiing there now, then you can hide in the other side of the mountain theres a cave, in which we live in.

Madd awesome place. But whistler is still better...can't beat the canadians at rocks. But other than that, it is soo Awesome!! when you go make sure you say covert got you in-you'll get a discount-trust me! Other than that, there is a secret trail that I am building. It stretches from dominion to the other side of the mountain. This is because their new North Shore style trail is on the other side to protect it from the payers. Again, if you say you read covert's message, they'll give you a ride to the secret trail.

. We've got mad cans of food and starting a new way of mountain biking life. It's kinda like Lost however there aren't any scary stuff out there just mountain bikes, like all the parts you need and all of the different kinds of dh and freeride bikes. So back to the hideout it is like the hatch in Lost and we've got room for 70 more. So once it is spring time, we can start riding cause right now we are building. See?! there really are 70 of us!!

A profanity will have an original meaning (which may change across time and language) which in itself may give some cause for offense. Additiona

It was the best mountain I have ever gone to. from the bridges to the berms to the very soil itself. It was a crazy time. Too much fun.

I'm really missing it. I can't wait till next year. All I can do now is wait!
I was fortunate enough to get to roost at the Diablo MTB park at Mountain Creek resort last weekend, while catching the US Open Downhill event. The mountain itself is pretty cool, with loads of natural terrain, most of it rocky, mixed in with the usual "snowboard biking" features like ladder bridges and drops, wall rides, and hand-made jumps and berms of all sizes. All the stunts are well built. The lift is pretty cool in that it is "self serve" and gets you to the top quickly. (Except, that is, for a few times when the stand-up lift quit for some reason.)

We fixed a lot of the trails and improved soo much of the rain ruts. More and more trails keep opening. Next year is going to be an extensive building year for the 09 games.
This place is especially awesome if you 9" of squish and double trees up front. If you come with anything less, then you are not riding Mountain Creek to it's fullest. Remember bring your full on DH bikes!
You'll be sorry if you bring an FR.
