Who keeps posting that Carter is by membership only. I live 2 miles from Carter Rd Park and it is absolutely free for everyone!

excellent trail network for Florida. Challenging trails for riders of all abilities. The finger loops in the back are very technical and will definitely test your skills. Worth the drive if you live anywhere in central or west central florida. Good alternative to Santos, just not as big and not quite as much variety.

been riding this trail for a while. cut my mtb teeth on it actually. nice flow. lots of improvements since they stopped vehicle traffic to the back sections. props to ridge riders. something for everyone.

We went here expecting a lesser area due to some reviews and comments, but were pleasantly surprised to find a place with a decent amount of trails for everyone, and some really technical spots that would challenge any expert rider. The park is very nice with a bike wash, good parking, and facilities as well. Worth the trip from St Pete for sure.

No membership required here. Many improvements made, continous loop, good technical, hard pack, worth the drive.

The trail is great, but they fail to mention that it is by membership only. Only Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Asscoiation members allowed to ride, so if you want to ride without going to jail for tresspasing, you might want to pay their membership fees. I will not, because I live in Melbourne, FL and I do not get out their but once or twice a year. I would rather drive a few more miles to get to Alafia which is far better than Carter will ever be or made out to be.

This trail is awsome. A great place to ride weekly. I ride it two to three days each week and 2 - 3 times each day. The gators are definately around so be careful and don't forget to ride fast and take chances.
