Trail Description:
Nestled in the beautiful piney woods of northern Louisiana, this is a trail not many know about. Not words, but races located at the park can only give credit where credit is due! With an AMBC Central Finals Race, an XTERRA qualifier, and a Spring LA Championship Race, as well as many other off-road multi-sport events, this

trail is a must ride!!

How to get there:
Take Inter. 20 (east or west) to the Ruston/Farmerville-Hwy33 exit. Exit and travel north on Hwy33, going out of town, for about 2 1/2 miles. The park entrance is on the left.

March 26, 2007 :: The guys at the park have been busy lately. All of the jumps have been resurfaced and the high speed bankings on the trail have been redone as well. Part of the beginner trail is being re-routed to keep it off the main road as well. Also, the picnic area has been expanded and public grills and picnic tables have been added in the area by the beach. Come check it out!

Hadn't ridden in a year...rode it three times this past July 4th weekend. LOVE IT. Full suspension not a must, but can barrell through some really fast rooty down hills with some rear travel. One 35-40 foot drop at about a 30 degree angle, smooth FAST descent, other descents include naturally occurring rollers you can pump for speed. Very good mix of climing, descending, and moderately technical riding.

A great 10 mile trail with plenty of singletrack that is fun, technical, and can be fairly challenging in certain areas. A moderate skill rider, however can manage. Located in a gorgeous park. A must visit for anyone within 200 miles!

Had a real good time on this trail. The trail has a good up and down action going on. There is two really great jumps that come with a little added surprise.

Best single track between the Mississippi and the Rockies for good weekend warriors. Of course I have not ridden every trail in this broad area but have ridden some and read about a lot of others. If you know of a better one please publish it.

the only paved road is the 2 places where the trail crosses the road...where did 95% come from?

Posted by: Doug on 2/28/2000
It's more like 85% single track & 15% other. Weekend warrior better describes the trail. Most of the trail can be riden by novice riders, except for some of the steeper climbs toward the end of the trail.
