miles of rocky trails and off route obstacles will keep you busy here. The park is huge stretching into 5 towns, so its easy to get lost, pick up a map at the parks Hingham entrance. A sattellite park to wompy is whitney woods (also can be accessed via cohasset parking area), most of the singletrack is off limits to mtb, however the riding is sick and techncal...so ride it anyway! I usually do a 25mile loop throughout the park and never ride the same trails twice. Check it out...well worth the wile.

This is a very fun place to ride! ENDLESS miles of tight, technical, fast, single track. But, be careful what you wish for. There are so many different trails here that it is very easy to get lost. The last time I rode here, I started riding at 4pm with the intentions of getting back to the car around 6:30-7pm. I got lost for almost two hours. It turned dark, I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos, I could'nt find any other riders, none of the roads looked familiar and all the while I'm freaking out because they lock the gates at dark and you cant get your car out!!! I finally ran into the park ranger doing a final sweep before closing the gate just before 9pm and he showed me the way back to my car. BAD SITUATION! Great place to ride though... Maybe I'll take a map next time...

Over the last 5 years, due to New England Mountain Bike Association trailwork days, the amount of available singletrack has jumped from about 16 to over 30 miles. Say Thanks to NEMBA whenever you cross one of Wompy's many wooden bridges.
