Trail Description:
Wider XC ski trails intersected by sweet single track that has been cut by mountain bikers. Very rolling and twisty enough to keep your attention. Not too technical but there is some pretty steep parts. This is a good trail to explore and at tthe same time have lots of fun. There is an excellent view from the Bald Hills which is well worth the climb.
How to get there:
Follow 17th South from the East side of Brandon and this will take right to the hills. There is a sign off to the left with lots of parking. You can see the hills from a long ways off.

That's the map site. the trails are deceptively short - they look long on the map, but doing from the lot to C loop only took an hour, and that was with a larger group taking our time.
Great single track, though, but I'm a novice, really, so...

Would have to disagree with "hi's" comments concerning these trails. Its a great place to ride!
With over 60 kms of single track in the middle of the prairies, these trails are a jewel for local riders and those riders who visit.
One note. The trails and riding can, in the middle summer be somewhat uncomfortable however.
In mid summer, the trails can become somewhat overgrown with vegitation, swarms of mosquitoes and woodticks, knee high poison ivy, spiderwebs thick as cotton candy, and smothering humidity all of which can conspire to make for some uncomfortable riding conditions.
In spring, early summer, late summer, and fall .... these trails are money!

The Brandon Hills have evolved to a 65km trail system that encompasses wildlife management land and surrounding private land. Know where you are going when you ride here. There are no signs if you deviate from the A, B and C loops. The trails are well maintained by the Friends of the Brandon Hills group. A, B and C loops are winter groomed for cross-country skiing. The area is also good for snowshoeing. Check it out! You won't be disappointed.
