"Kees" has been smoking crack. Trail is a wlkup for hikers and is about 20 feet wide. Nice ride through the trees though (both up as well as down)

this trail is not for beginners. it's very technical and very steep.

I have not ridden this trail since '91 and no longer live in co. but the best ride was up barr trail to the experimental forest then down fire roads to cascade

This trail is indeed lightning fast but go during the week. You can go a whole lot faster.

Rode Barr trail for the first time. To the peak and back. For Beginners...NOT. Probably at least 3000' of climbing just to get to barr camp. Not too technical until after barr camp but this is a tough climb. definately not for beginners. Strong intermediate possibly, but definately advanced riders only beyond barr camp. Very technical and at least a mile of carying your bike to get to the top.

Barr Trail is VERY steep ... averaging 400'/mile. (It's only 9 miles long) It is too crowded to speed down, but it is a GREAT workout for ADVANCED riders.

I was the caretaker of barr camp from 93 to 99. the trail is called barr trail and there are ALOT of people on it in the summer. therefore, calling it "lightning fast" is wrong. please be considerate of others. we're talking old ladies and little kids. if you want to go lightning fast go somewhere else.

Barr Trail: Steep at times? For begginers? You are kidding, right?
