Trail Description:
The Rum Village Pathway is a fun, but short loop. The first 2.3 miles is mostly intermediate with fast rolling trail. The last portion of the ride has more climbs, and technical singletrack making it a fun ride for many skill levels.
How to get there:
From US20 on south side of South Bend, go north on Michigan Street to Ewing Ave, west on Ewing to Gertrude, then south on Gertrude about 1/2 mile to trailhead on west side of street.

this trail used to be the bomb until i started going to other trails. now it seems like 6 miles packed into a small space. the trail has been added onto so its about 6 miles instead of 5. it does have some fun log piles.

Just rode this one today. The trail is a little sloppy probably because of the rain lately. Over all it is a good trail, the maintenance has seemed to drop off cause it could really use some triming and i for one wouldnt mind paying a couple of bucks to ride if it went for maintaning the trail or enhancements.

This Trail is really nice and worth riding. NIMBA has done a great job in maintaining it. I have been here several times and it has never been closed.

Trail has been clean and fast this year with some new sections opened up. Thanks to NIMBA for the improvements and maintenance that have kept the trail open more this spring than in past years. (Parts originally ran through a swamp!)

A waste of time because it's always closed. Not bad if it's open.

It's good trail, if it's ever open! Does anyone know who decides if the trail is open or not? A perfect day today and the trail was closed. People were riding anyway. I guess I should have!
