Trail Description:
The trails here are steep, winding, and technical. this trail is in the backwoods behind a softball park with lots of shade. unmarked so be careful avoid going after rains because parts can flood. P.S. bug repellent helpful.
How to get there:
get directions to Deleon Springs state park. When you can see the front entrance to the park the road forks over some railroad tracks. take the fork on the left. Go less than a 1/4 mile and the entrance to the softball park is on the left . the trailhead is located in the first parking lot.

Looks like this could be a cool trail with some work...we have started to clean up the North xc trail but the south side will take a bit longer. Lots of love needed there but once groomed will be a roller coaster again! If interested in putting together some people to work on it contact us at friends@mpinet.net

This was the place where I learned to trail ride and it's the best place I've been been to since. The fact that this place is in a rural setting adds to the fun. While I wish the trail was a little bit longer, it's alright the way it is. I'd say the entire riding area is situated on about one square mile. The steep hills are the best and at the center of the trails there's this steep drop (maybe 25' down) that you've got to try if you go there, just be sure to hold on to your bike.

This trail is upgraded and improved all of the time. There are some great techinical areas for riders who are in the process of becoming hardcore. Great jumps, steep climbs and decents. Can be very muddy after rains(which add to the fun). The only downfall of this trail system is the length. Maybe 3 mile of total trails; however, they criss-cross all over. Once you get to know the trails, you can make some really fun and techinical runs hitting all of your favorite sections quickly.
