Trail Description:
Sycamore isn't very long, nor is it super exciting. But what it does offer is a good short course for training rides, a quick trip out or introducing others to the sport. If you're in the area, check it out. If not, it's probably not worth the trip.
How to get there:
Go to Poway road and take a right at garden road then go all the way down till u come to warning star ranch , take a right. follow road till end.

Sycamore is open now, and is recovering well from the Nov. '04 wildfires, but parts are still ruined from the beating of all the firetrucks. It's good for a 7-mile loop with some decent climbing and downhill, but it's a shadow of its former self before the fires.

Sycamore used to be very
challenging if you took the left turn to
the singel track when coming from
the parking lot - now the whole
cannyon is closed due to the wild
fires in fall and the winter rains will
cause a lot of erosion on the
stripped cannyon.

This ride is much better if you start at West Hills High School on Mast Blvd. The ride then becomes more of a lollipop as you loop around to the Martha's Grove Trail and then back out to the highschool. The singletrack is some of the best in the San Diego area. Be courtious to the hikers and horseback riders!!!
