Ride Summary:
Scenic jeep track that meanders along Middle Boulder Creek. The trail leads to a campground at the boundary of the Indian Peaks Wilderness near the treeline.

Trail Description:
Ride up the Eldora road to the end of the pavement and continue on the dirt. Stay right at a turnoff for Hessie and climb more steeply. Stay on the main road at all junctions. Pass several houses, following the South Fork of Upper Boulder Creek, which resembles a shallow gorge in places. Reach the Fourth of July Campground at 5.7 miles and return as you came.

How to get there:
From Canyon and Broadway in Boulder, drive west on Canyon (Hwy. 119) to Nederland. From Nederland, bear left on 119 for .6 miles to BC 130, the road to Eldora. Stay right at a turn-off for the Eldora Ski Area, continue 2.5 miles to the stop sign at 6th St. in the town of Eldora and park off the road.
