How to get there:
From downtown Houston, take I-10 west. Exit Highway 6. U-turn under the freeway. Park entrance on right. Can also access trails from Enclave Parkway near Eldridge.

Took the trails last weekend. There are plenty of rideable bridges that have been built. However, with heavy raining from earlier this year, the amount of roots have made certain portions of uphill practically impossible, and tough to even carry up with a bike. The moderate uphill root portions have some technical value though.

Since the last post Hurricane Ike came through and Buffalo Bayou flooded and eroded the trails east of Dairy Ashford. There are quite a few more roots, some trees down, and alot of vegitation gone. But, still worth riding. Alot of fun.

Ther are some good trails west of Dairy Ashford, but to the East its too many dangerous drops & climbs. They also need some wood bridges put in to help with some of these sections. The West trails are nice and I only have to get off my bike once or twice to get past the scary part. Tese are the best trails in Houston as memorial park is so eroded that you are riding on tree roots and not dirt.

Rode this area for the first time today. The park was nice, had some good singletracks throughout the park. What I liked the most was that when you wanted to ride some rougher stuff, you could....when you got tired and needed some flat terrain...just walk up the hill (out of the ravine) and it is all flat.

I just went to this park with two family members and we cycled the entire park. It has great 15-20ft tall hills with bike trails leading over them and all around the very seemingly compact yet huge and beautifull park. Great restroom at the entrance with a nice playground for the kids plus throughout the paved path there are several benches, exersice obstacles, and water fountains. Some of the obstacles are Parkour friendly which helps this park earn the 10 out of 10 in my book.

Yeah, a great trail to ride, I live down there, and ride like every day, also if you go down near Eldridge, and across the giant hump, my friends and I have made some dirt, and wood ramps, really fun. Hope to see you there by the way I'm 13

I have rode this trail around 10 times enjoy it every time. There are several different sections with varying degrees of ease and difficulty. Low trail has an easy flow to it, while the upper trail kicks it up a notch. The trail system is long and connects to Hwy 6 Addicks Dam for a long cardio blast. All in all a good ride to forget about the concrete jungle for awhile.
