Trail Description:
This is a fun network of tight and twisty singletrack. There are several trails so lots of variations are possible. There are some roots, rocks, and logs to deal with, but the biggest obstacle is the mud.

The trails get extremely wet and muddy in winter and spring so please avoid these trails in bad conditions.

How to get there:
From I-90 take the Issaquah Front Street exit. Head North under the freeway onto E Lake Samamish. At the second stop light, turn right onto Issaquah-Fall City Rd and head up the hill. At the second stop light, continue straight onto Issaquah-Pine Lake rd. Follow Issaquah-Pine Lake Rd to its end. At the end of the road, turn right onto 228 Ave. SE and then at the next light, turn right onto SE 24th St.

Follow SE 24th Street to its end at Beaver Lake Park. Turn left onto West Beaver Lake Drive SE. Follow this road for exactly .9 miles to a small gravel turnout on the right side of the road (Just before a deer crossing sign. Park here. (This area is small so you may have to park elsewhere). Though you may not see it, the trailhead is immediately across the street.

If you have trouble finding the actual trailhead, just park anywhere and then ride along West Beaver Lake Drive SE. If you see a driveway with a housenumber 1310 then you've gone too far.

Additional Notes:
Keep track of your turns while you are riding! It's easy to get lost.

nice mix of up, down, with a couple good hits. Still seems to be fairly dry-ish. Don't read the signs just start going you cant get lost. Oh and if you take the long fun downhill near 2 on the way to the ponds be prepared to push back up there is no way around it. All around a fun place and worth a visit even in the rain.

1st time there - much more technical stuff after all the windstorms this winter compared to other reviews on this site. Very fun singletrack, but a fair number of mud bogs that had to be walked around. Maps are excellent. A couple of trails are still not ridable, but most were excellent. Less twisty than tapeworm, but very flowing. I'll definitely be riding there more.

Rolling elevation changes has some rad stump jumps and plenty of roots. Hardtail with big fork would destroy trail. I rod on full susp did just fine. Make sure you remember the # post you started from real easy to get lost enjoy. Peace

80 degrees on a Sunday, 07.16.2006 and we were the only 2 vehics in the parking spot. Nice! A couple of weekend warrior types having a good time at The Beav. Stinging nettles are plentiful and encroach on the skinnier single track runs. 4 hours after the ride and a shower later My lower legs are still tingling from multiple encounters with the fierce flora. A good time was had as we wended our way through fun trails with single track about 60% of the time, wider trails in the rest of the places. Terror Trail and the Bone(yard?) had most obstacles and twisting track. Not as twisty and technical as Tolt-Mcdonald park, but a good ride none-the-less. Fun and worthwhile for sure, but the nettles and lack of twistyness and general lack of obstacles will spur me to try new trails, go to Tolt-Mcdonald and Tiger Mt. before going back.

Great trails. BBTC has better directions. The map in the park is better than the one posted here. I only managed to get lost once in 3+ hours; and then only because I was trying to route plan. Each trail crossing is marked. Very few tough obstacles; plan on riding nice buffed out single track until you're tired. If you've never been (like me) just pick a trail and roll with it - they're all marked! More hills to the left of the wood-chip trail, flatter to the right as you head out of the parking lot (soaring eagle park). Didn't find any mud or nettles that others have alluded to.

Great trail system - a lot of fun. The trails are not technical - the few roots, rocks, and occasional downed tree are easy to go around. Sadly, some over-zealous individuals clear every minor hazard and are making these trails a bit too easy. My suggestion: Leave the Hazards --- If you can't ride 'em, walk 'em.

Really muddy. I rode every trail over the course of 4-5 hours; at the end of the day I was completely disoriented despite well marked trails. Take notice of what entrance you're using. Mud - I went after two days of dry weather and it was still really muddy. The front tracks are fine and can be ridden through fast (watch for others though); the ones farther back get muddy and are really overgrown with needles. It's nearly completely flat with few rocks and logs, it's mostly all roots. Excellent trail to ride through fast, though it's not overly technical.

Good ride for getting back in shape for mountain biking season or when taking new riders out. Currently the trail is really muddy in spots. Routes are well marked.
