Trail Description:
There are many types of trails to hit here. Lots of pavement to warm up on and lots of shorter trails to hit while still being close to your car in case of breakdown. I n the spring watch out for park workers on weekdays and dogs on weekends. 2 paths have wood chips on them so be careful.
How to get there:
take Hwy 94Eastfrom downtown St. Paul to McKnight St. Go South on McKnight until you hit your first 4-way and then take a left. The best parking is on the right hand side where the bulk of the trails are.
Additional Notes:
This is a good place to train.

Do people walk more on the paved, or in the wooded areas? I seem to see people standing around either on the trails, or in the middle of the woods, and not sure if they are staying out of way of bikers or what is going on?

great place to ride . much singletrack on upper and lower sections. new climb added in 2001 and new single track in 2002 on the lower park side. upper section is good place to start. nice intermediate single track loop. lower section more challenging, with some good expert runs. Morc has done a great job with this trail.good training and it's free

This trail used to be some of the sweetest technical singletrack around - now it's been 'improved' to include wider paths (no singletrack), lights, restrictions on bikers and more pavement - it's hardly as great as it was 5 years ago.

There is a group of real sweet "down-daddy" hairy down hills, but watch out for deer on the trail. There are also a couple of hidden trails on the north side of the creek.

Live close and ride there a lot. Some sand when its dry very unforegiving. Big steep hills and ravines. Great view of the river. you can connect to other great trails and parks. Hidden treasure, not many people when you ride there.
