Trail Description:
This is one of the most remote rides in north Ga. You'll climb to the ridge line bordering the Cohutta Wilderness before dropping down into the Mtn. town Creek Gorge with its many cascades and waterfalls. Its then a short ride through the valley before the long climb back to the trailhead.
How to get there:
From milepost 8 on Ga 52 west of Ellijay, take County road #65 north for 5.4 miles. Continue onto FS 90 for another 1.7 miles, turn right onto FS 68 and go 2 miles to the trailhead parking area.
Additional Notes:
What a ride!!!!!!!!

This trail is a sick down hill with lots of fast jumps in the beginning. It’s an 8.5 mile downhill. It's fast and technical in sections then mellow’s out at the bottom. There are about 6 creek crossings ( you can go thought with your bike if you hit them fast enough). If you park off the paved road you can descend right to your car. We rode yesterday and had a blast!!!

Ellijay is full of great trails with a small town at its center and a great bike shop with very friendly experts. The trails are difficult and I would only recommend them to avid riders that are in good shape. Lots of climbing and very technical. In the summer you can cool off running through streams from time to time on the Bear Creek trail.
