Trail Description:
Sandy straw covered to hard pack. Nice wind sprints. A few small logs to hop, couple nice downhills, 1 or 2 moderate ascents.
How to get there:
Hwy 1 North from Cheraw, SC through Patrick Past ranger station on right, trail head on left. 102 north from Hartsville, Left onto hwy 1.
Additional Notes:
No facilities, but not very remote.

Trail is closed. Both Sandhills sites referenced are the same trails. Cheraw State Park is just up the road. Seven mile loop that is a good ride; just not very technical.

Trail is unrideable! This was one of the best trails in SC 8 or so years ago. The State Forrest thought it would be a good idea to clear the trail with a firebreak machine.

Going north on 1 from Cheraw (as teh directions indicate) will take you into North Carolina,...away from the trailhead.

I'm still confused though, is this trail different from the other Sand Hill trail listed,...?
