Trail Description:
A fun area for experienced riders who are comfortable with technical terrain. For a short intermediate cross country ride try linking the middle and lower Lake View Loops. (40 min to an hour)A sweet roller coaster ride. More technical? Climb the West side and descend the East side of Bootleg Canyon. (40 min to an hour) Nice trail work! This area also sports some kind downhill runs... you can even car shuttle if you want...Lazy....
How to get there:
From Vegas go S and E to Boulder City. Turn left at the second light(Yucca) Go uphill past the gravel quarry area. After the road turns to dirt you will find a pull out/parking area at the mouth of Bootleg Canyon.Maps are available at this spot. Only a half hour from the strip...
Additional Notes:
Sweet single track designed with the Mt. Biker in mind. Whoop dee doos! Sharp Rocks!

This is one..if not the best trails I have ridin'. I've been riding out there for over 2 years now and still find that the trails are teaching me to be a better rider. There are still several obstacles and areas of trails that I have yet to master and new trails to ride. I have yet to ride any of the downhill stuff, but I hear it's awesome and if you go to youtube and type in Bootleg Canyon there's a 10 min homemade video that looks pretty sweet.

I must say that is my rating on all the trails at B.C. Mtn. Bike Park. This is one awesome place for anyone to ride. If you are a beginner you must be careful because some of the trails are for the more experienced riders. However if you are careful you can tame them all. The downhill rides are for the experienced downhillers. If you are afraid of steep drops and wild jumps you may want to stay on Girl Scout. Who knows maybe that is why I do. Watch out for sharp rocks. There are many lava rocks that love to eat tires for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, there are several tires which will withstand the elements better than the others. Check out the March or April Mtn Bike Action. They did a test ride on some tires at B.C. Mtn Bike Park. If you want a fun ride this Bike Park is a blast. Recommended for everyone to try. Great job on all the trails. This is a good place to learn mtn biking techniques for anyone.

When your up for a fun fast ride this is the place to go. It's not to far out of Vegas takes me 20mins from most places "I also know the area well". For a start you'll have to do something easy like Girlscott which is aswome everytime. Park where the bathrooms are then bike up the trail about 4 miles you'll come to a quick step up hill and on the left the fun begins. If you like speed head right insteed of left dont worry it takes you back almost at the start of girlscott so its hard to get lost. If your a down hiller head to the top thats all I have to say they are very very fast and will take no more then 25mins to get down. "You can beat the shuttle if your crazzy enough"
Ride this rock you'll never forget it.

A great place to ride. Everything is well laid out and marked. My favorite ride is Girl Scout up the mountain to the Caldera loop and back down the West leg. My first time riding here was confusing however. For newcomers you have to go past the parking lot with the bathrooms and the cross country trails start just past there at the top of the hill. Bootleg Canyon has a website which is bootlegcanyon.com.

Just moved from Vegas to the east coast and I'm missing Bootleg like crazy! Simply the best mountain bike park in the country. Something for everyone!

June 14. Rode up the road from the bathrooms to the saddle, then rode the Caldera counter clockwise. Jeff was on amountain bike for his very first time, and got spooked on the serious drops down and up the arroyos. So he stiffened up on me and wouldn't put both feet on the pedals, riding level with his butt off the seat. It took us 2 hours, but the back side was great, right to his level. Jeff was ready to call it aday when we got to the road, so off he went to the car. I had a great time dropping down the Girs Scout Trail, and picked up some cornering practice using the inside pedal. We left Green Valley at 5:40 and hit the trail at 6:20, after riding up the road. We were done by 8:30 and home by 9:00 am.
A great time was had by all, even though Jeff will not mountain bike again any time soon.
