DO NOT GO RIGHT AT THE Y. we did this trail over the weekend and after going around half way up the mountain to the right we ran into a biker and his dog who told us we were going the wrong way if we wanted the more rewarding fast, technical trail. he was right, going left at the y was just a wide much easier climb up to the top (about 5 miles). then the super fun 3 mile down hill. if we had gone the other way not only would it be hard getting our biked up to the top when you are almost up to the top but coming down the other way would have been very disappointing. please go left at the fork. you wont be disappointed. plenty of cows to talk to on your journey too. lol

The sign on Powerhouse road is not Squaw Leap. The sign is San Joaquin River Gorge. The name was changed a few years ago.

This is a great morning trial. I suggest going left at the fork, across the bridge, as you get more downhill time, only problem is the amount of people on the trail, and ROCKS! RIDE TODAY WORK TOMORROW!

The climb is worth some of the fast drops coming down the other side. Great for a morning training ride. avg time is about 1 hr.

X-Country. I'm terrified of spiders and saw two tarantulas and nearly pissed my pants. I'll stick to my downhill at 007 spider-free thank you.
