Trail Description:
The "trail" is more like a road because 90% of it is paved but it offers cyclists of all shapes and sizes an opportunity to ride through a picturesque forest without the hazards of traffic. There is access to the LSCR Old Growth Trail at the 10km mark and the impressive Seymour Dam at the end.
How to get there:
The Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve is located at the end of Lillooet Road in North Vancouver.
Additional Notes:
Keep in mind there will be the odd service vehicle on the trail.

This pic is from the East side of the valley accessed by crossing the bridge just below the mid-valley viewpoint. The viewpoint is accessed at the Hydraulic creek rest area KM 5.8. The east side of the valley is a gravel road through true old growth forest - see pic. The road undulates along the river ending at a gate. There is access to a small lake at KM 7.5 (take skid road leading up to the right just before the steep hill at KM 8. The lake does not have good shore access.

Vancouver is a concrete city that is over rated!
THere is no single track XC riding. Just downhill!
Doesn't take much to do downhill. Big gutt and big layered pants.
Everyone gets a lift to the top.
I was the only one biking it and enjoying the beauty of the land.
I was pretty much the only one biking downtown as well. Just another big city it is.
To much money (1/2 million dollar homes in an over inflated area - the rich are closing down the trails and building on good treed land that should be XC).
I'll stay home - we have hundreds of km of XC riding.
I'm not sure how Vancouver became known as the bike friendly town. I nearly got ran over a dozen times.
It stinks for XC!

The single track on the left at one K no longer exists , it was bulldozed to create the new pathway. Also Nate if your planning to do some building in this area you best check with the powers that be as this area is constantly patroled and any new trails will be destroyed. these guys are not anti bike though and if you talk with them first you may get what you want or they will direct you to areas were you can build, they may even supply you with nails.
