Trail Description:
Miles of rough singletrack with steep downhills. It at first seems beginner, but if you explore you will find some great technical riding!
How to get there:
Going west on Rosedale St., turn right on 66th. Go all the way to the end of 66th. Once on the dirt road, stay right until you cross under a fallen tree.

I found the trail - had to drive into a
gated community - There are many splits
- I kept going to the right - and popped
out at McCormick State Park. Road those
trails for a bit - then went back up the
trail that put me out at the Park. As
an FYI - you can access all these trails
from Bujacich Rd NW...and avoid the
people on the trail at the park. Park
at the park - across from the Fire
Station, then ride East (only a 1/4 mile
or so) on Bujacich - and look to your
right....You will see one trail with a
wire across it - keep going, and on your
right is a narrow trail with a 100 yard
up hill climb....this is the trail in
the description here. Good downhills -
some logs across trail in the narrow
parts - so be careful....but otherwise a
good ride. I road a couple miles of
them - and passed many of the "Y's" in
the trails...will go back and ride more.
If anyone in Gig Harbor area wants to
ride with me - email me @

Trails are still there - little overgrown in places but the horse folk are maintaining. Came in from the prison side by the park and found my way to 66th. Will go back as I can ride there from home. Can get a couple of hours in of short ups and downs - not terribly technical but a good fun workout. All the litter/junk had been cleaned up.

A lady who lives in the house next to the trail head looked disgusted when we unpacked our bikes to go for a ride. The kids had the most fun on the downhill that runs west along the backside of the neighborhood properties. Not enough trail maintenance and too many caterpillars failing on you from overhanging fauna. Overall, I'd have to say that it was interesting but not worthy of a trip back.

There is a new entrence at the very end of 66th that has easy access. when you enter the trail you should go right for good single track. there is some good downhill if you travel farther into the trail. we are recently adding a new downhill that is badass.

direction correction: there is no fallen tree; 66th has been extended now that the newest subdivision has been paved. I wouldn't fight the Gig Harbor maze to find this place. "something for everyone" that's for sure...in two hours I met lots of construction machinery, various dumpsites for suburbanites who outgrew old furniture, overgrown blackberries, pre-yuppie high school cross country runners complete with attitude, practically everything but challenging trail. There was one decent arm-rattling downhill, but it was very close to the newest subdivision. Let this place go to the backhoe.

Area with potential. Needs a new trail head, old one has been taken over by development. It's a shame no one is maintaining, alot of the trails are being taken over by the flora and fauna.

Pretty good, if you want to get to the good stuff, stay to the right when you come to forks in the trail.
