Trail Description:
The Mink Creek Recreational Area offers several different trails, but the most popular is called "The Pump House." It's called that because the trail starts at the pump house. Go through the gate to the right of the pump house and over the bridge. Keep right and follow the jeep road up for 3.5 miles. Just beyond the top, follow the singletrack to the right. When you come out at the bottom, turn right and head back to your car.

How to get there:
From Pocatello take I-15 South to exit 63. Follow the signs for Mink Creek Recreational Area. Once you're on the main road in the recreation area, look for a pump house on the left. This is where the trail begins.

Additional Notes:
Best from April through November. Bring supplies & extra water.

Go past the pump house trail and use the parking lot on the right. A trail head known as west fork starts in the east corner. This is the best trail. It is close to four miles to the end, the first 2.5 are the hardest but worth it.

There is so much riding in this area it's not funny. The person who posted that comment was right, it is called valvehouse. Try elk meadows loop trail.

This is actually called Valve House. You turn right into Box Canyon and then right down South Fork. It can be done both ways and is best before the cattle get in there.
