Trail Description:
If you're an advanced rider, you're in for a treat. The trails here are very steep, and technical. Keep an eye out for the tight switchbacks. They can sneak up on you.
How to get there:
From Nebraska City head South on HWY 75. In Auburn, turn left onto HWY 136. Take another left onto HWY 67 about 1 mile before Brownville. Pass through Nemaha and then follow the signs.

I stayed here the weekend before the 4th of July. There were not many people. The trails are difficult in that if you are not a seasoned fit rider you will find yourself walking your bike up the hills because they are steep and go on for quite a ways. My second day I resorted to foot hiking the trails because I did not feel like walking my bike around. Remember to bring a can of off with you as well.

Probably one of the best mountain biking trails I have been to in the area. Most trails would not be good for beginners or children. Just make sure you don't go after a decent rain...there is gumbo mud on most of the trails. My last visit was memorial day weekend. They had very nice camping and very pretty scenery. There is a $15 camping fee a night and I think it is just $3 to enter for a day.

I have hiked here for years, but never riden these trails until this weekend. The trails were graded for a race, which made them nice and smooth, but a little slick here and there due to a build of of sandy dirt. The down hills are a blast, and there is some definate climbing, probably a great place to train for Colorado (or vice versa). The park is beautiful, camping great, something for all, just make sure to bring your climbing legs.

This was a very fun and challenging trail system. The terrain is hilly, and the trail make several trips up and down the bluffs. The views of the Missouri River and greater and there is abundant wild life in the area. Some of the trails are shared with horses so be careful and curteous. The camp ground is excellent. Great tent sites, nice showers etc. I highly recommend this area for a weekend trip.
