Definitely not a beginner! Not technical, but the climbs are challenging, the route is long, and elevation matters! Unprecedented scenery. Brutal in the rain, when the hike-a-bike sections become mud slides and the creek crossing overflow.

I dont believe that this trail is beginner. I rode it this weekend and it was probably one of the harder rides ive done simply because of the climbs. The ride has some of the more beautiful scenery I have seen on a trail ride. I prefer a good technical downhill section as payment for punishing up-hills so I did not find it very rewarding. But for fans of nice cross country and river crossings it would be a great ride! Bring sunscreen as you will not be in the trees much.

This is not a beginner ride. I live in the CB area and it is a ride you need to be in shape to do. There is not a lot of technical areas but a lot of climbing. It ranks up there with 401, and teo.

However, with some monster climbs (definite Hike-a-bike, this may not really be a "beginner trail". It may be "beginner" in that there are not a lot of technical sections.
