Trail Description:
Begins with a long descent down a wide and very fast dirt road, with the angles of decent between 15 and 25 degrees. From there the trail curves to run parallelwith the shore of second lake. This part is much more narrow and technical. There are also a large number of even smaller routes to explore the lead back up the slope.

How to get there:
Take Glendale Avenue onto Metropolitan drive. Proceed past Leslie Thomas Junior High and go straight to the crest of the hill leading down to Second lake, and hold on.

The best part of this trail is if u go on metro politian and instead of going straight to second lake turn left. Take another left and another left after that. Then take ur first right up saratoga dr. At the end of saratoga take a right and then turn left. Turn right again on to Caraline Drive. Go straight down caraline to the end and there is a dirt couldasack where u can park. Bike down the hill on the edge of the woods. when u are halfway down there is a trail that turns into the woods. Bike down and take ur first right then bike along for a while and take a left when the trail forks. U will find a river. Follow the river so far and u will find markers u will have to turn left away from the river. U will end up about 80% down the second lake road. Someone else here sugests taking the trail but starting at second lake road. My way is a lot bettter because u will be going down hill the whole way and it is alot faster. Then turn up second lake road and take the directions on the road

Instead of going to the bottom of the hill and along second lake, go about 80% of the way down the main hill and look to your left, an ATV trail goes back in the woods (keep your eye open for it). It isnt too bad for biking, and the trails go for a little while, with one or two branches off. Give it a try.

I think this trail is not worthy of a posting. The Halifax area has Dozens of good trails for all levels, and riding styles, this is not one of them. I suggest if you are riding in Sackville. The Sackville river trail is very good fairly technical. The Sackville powerlines are a good work out, moderate skill level, lots of hills. Others near by Pockwock lake,or Jacks lake. A note all of these are also off limits for hunters.
